Who We Are

A ministry like True Vine Equestrian Center cannot be run by one person alone. Many people sacrifice their time to serve God at TVEC: staff, volunteers, interns, apprentices and of course the horses all work together in unity to spread the word of God. Everyone involved with TVEC is important – no matter how small the job seems! And of course, we rely on God to give us strength, guide our decisions and change lives. We do our part by obeying him. But God is the one who holds us all together and keeps TVEC going!

History

True Vine Equestrian Center started when two 4H leaders, Vickie Nakamura and Jeanette VanVleck, felt called to serve God using their horses. While praying about what that would look like and brainstorming ideas, God provided Vickie with more land. True Vine Equestrian Center was born between the winter of 2002 and spring of 2003. TVEC’s very first group to come and ride was the Lawton Evangelical Mennonite Church youth group. Since 2003, TVEC has grown, all because of God’s working. Now TVEC offers special needs and able-bodied riding lessons, Summer Horse Clinics, group events and volunteer opportunities. We’re excited to see how we can impact people for God using horses!
